Half-Life: Decay is an official expansion for the PlayStation 2 version of the first-person shooter for PC, Half-Life, developed by Gearbox Software and a part of Valve, published in 1998. Doctors Cross and Green are members of a different group on Black Mesa than Half-Life protagonist Gordon Freeman. They are responsible for overseeing the equipment that Gordon uses during the experiment and are supervised by Dr. Rosenberg (who also appears in Blue Shift) and Dr. Kleiner. Cross and Green deliver the samples given by Black Mesa Administrator Wallace Breen to Freeman just before the incident occurs. Like Freeman, they are forced to fight for survival after the disaster caused by the resonance cascade.
